Authorities said the trimmer died after falling into a wood chipper in the San Francisco Bay Area.
The man’s name has not been released, but police say he was working in Menlo Park, 25 miles south of San Francisco, when he fell.
When police arrived, they found him dead from his injuries after falling shortly before 1:00 p.m. Tuesday.
The state Department of Occupational Safety and Health will conduct an investigation into the man’s death.
